Mrs. F. J. M. Hafiza Sultana

F J M Hafiza Sultana has extensive experience in the insurance sector in Bangladesh, with her main role being the Company Secretary at Karnaphuli Insurance PLC a position she has held since joining the company on 9th November 1994. Her loyalty and expertise have been invaluable to the board and the organization. She started her careerin 1977 at the Investment Corporation of Bangladesh (ICB), where Her responsibilities included administration, research, and investment. As Company Secretary, Mrs. Hafiza’s primary responsibilities involve corresponding with all regulators, including BSEC, DSE, CSE, IDRA, RJSC, and other stakeholders. She effectively manages the board, providing advice as needed. Shareholders are very fond of her, and her role is crucial in ensuring regulatory compliance and corporate governance.

In addition to her role as Company Secretary, Mrs. Hafiza contributes to the human resources function, handling recruitment, training, performance management, employee relations, and compliance with labor laws.

Mrs. Hafiza completed her graduation from Rajshahi University with a major in Economics. Her home district is Bogura, and she was born into a prestigious Muslim family. Prior to her current role, she worked in the Share & Investment Department at Eastern Insurance Company Ltd., where she gained valuable experience in the stock market. Since then, her contributions as the head of the Share and Investment Department have honed her expertise in the capital market. She excels in both fundamental and technical analysis of stock trading. Every year, her investment decisions generate substantial share and investment income for Karnaphuli Insurance PLC.
