Mr. Mohammad Musleh Uddin

Md. Musleh Uddin is all along Insurance professional with extensive experience in the insurance sector. His career spans several decades, beginning in June 1964 with the Pakistan Insurance Corporation. In 1972, he transitioned to the Sadharan Bima Corporation (SBC), Dhaka, where he held various key positions in Underwriting, Claims, and Reinsurance departments. He retired as Deputy General Manager (DGM) on 28th January 2001.

Following his retirement, Md. Musleh Uddin joined Karnaphuli Insurance PLC in August 23, 2001 as the Deputy Managing Director (DMD). His leadership and expertise were quickly recognized and he was appointed Managing Director of Karnaphuli Insurance PLC on 7th August 2007. He held the position until 12th June 2011. On reaching the age limit to act as CEO as per rules of the IDRA, Karnaphuli Insurance PLC retained him as Chief Consultant of the Company effective from his retirement date & has been continuing the same.

He is also a member of the Fire Sub-Committee in the Central Rating Committee of IDRA. He has completed a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) Degree. His career is marked by several significant professional training and international participations as per below:

• Participated in a training course in London on Aviation Insurance conducted by C.T. Bowing also by M/S Tyser & Co. which helped him visiting the Lloyds market and other notable sites.

•  He has also participated in numbers of training course in Bangladesh as well.

• Represented Bangladesh at an insurance seminar in South Korea, conducted by the Korean Reinsurance Company (KRIC), involving participants from multiple countries.

•  Attended a course on offshore and onshore energy risks in Hong Kong, conducted by an oil company.

• He has also participated in Re-Insurance TTY. arrangement for several times in GIC, India.

Md. Musleh Uddin’s vast experience and dedication have helped substantial contributions to the insurance industry.
