Mr. Howlader is an independent Director of Karnaphuli Insurance Company Limited, Chairman, Nomination and Remunaration Committee (NRC). He has completed his post graduate degree i.e. M. Com (Management) from Dhaka University and obtained Banking Diploma (DAIBP) and higher training at home and abroad. He has a rear rich and a unperallel non stop successful service life. He started his career as a Banker from the then "The Muslim Commercial Bank Ltd", since 1966 as probationary officer and retired as a Managing Director of Al-Arafah Islami Bank Ltd. and the Chairman of the Bangladesh commerce Bank Ltd. in 2013-16. He has been performing responsibilities in various position in Banking sector as Managing Director of Bangladesh shilpa Rin Shangstha, Director of Investment Corporation of Bangladesh (ICB), Adviser (Banking) of Bangladesh Garments Manufacturers & Exporters Association (BGMEA), Deputy Managing Director of Sonali Bank, Head office, Dhaka, General Manager of Bangladesh Shilpa Bank & Deputy General Manager of Rupali Bank Ltd. He attended many seminars and symposium at home and abroad. He visited Canada,UK, USA, Pakistan, China, India, Malaysia & Saudi Arabia .
