Mrs. Raquiba Banu is a sponsor Director of Karnaphuli Insurance Co. Ltd. She was born in an eminent muslim family of Jashore. Her father late Ahmed Ali Sarder was a Member of National Assembly (MNA) of the then East Pakistan. Mrs. Raquiba Banu is a sponsor Shareholder of Nawapara Jute Mills Ltd.
Having a sophisticated social family background Mrs. Raquiba Banu took lot of interest to establish a Private Insurance Company in 1986 and invested in Karnaphuli Insurance Co. Ltd. as its Sponsor Director. Mrs. Raquiba Banu was married to Mr. Fakhrul Islam Munshi, a former State Minister of Finance, Government of the Peoples Republic of Bangladesh. She takes lot of interest in socio-cultural activities and extend hands of co-operation and assistance to the needy people of the country.
